Each night, I sit down in bed and write down in my journal five things that I feel grateful for in this moment. I make sure to do it every night; it takes minimal time and is worth it to come back together with the day, reflecting on what's gone on (it seems easy to forget all of the good moments when the days often feel so long!) and what I am feeling thankful for--whether they have happened today or not. I love doing this right before bed because then I fall asleep with gratitude in my heart and the kick-start to a motivating and positive day tomorrow. And gets me excited for sleep. :)
So, without further ado.. ;) here's my list of 5 for today:
1- Hot peppermint tea while I cozy up in bed
2- A cleaned up space thanks to cleaning my room
3- Having great teachers and their passions inspirationally a part of my life
4- The sun out today and fresh morning spring-like weather. :) going outside and enjoying this with Louis and all of the other people soaking in the sunshine at the park- especially one woman whom I talked with; her sweet, compassionate, and gentle nature and interactions with the boy she cares for.
5- The potentials arising from life thanks to action with great intention & clear mind
Okay, and that is it. I'm also feeling incredibly grateful to get to go to bed now…I can barely write one sentence without making spelling errors. Ahhh sweet life.
